3 Tons of Trash Transported from Hek Sluice Gate

Joint officers cleaned up trash piles on Hek Sluice Gate, Kramatjati, East Jakarta left by floodwater from Bogor, West Java, Wednesday (11/25).

The trash transported was about 15 cubic-meters or equal with 3 tons. Then it is disposed to Bantar Gebang Landfill

Juki,(39), a local stated that water in Kalibaru started rising up at 12 AM. The peak happened at 3 AM. Even, the water spilled onto Jalan Raya Bogor carrying trash.

"The water was not inundating the residential as last week. But the trash is so many that carried by Kalibaru flow," he explained.

3 Sluice Gates in Jakarta on Alert 3

Head of Cleanliness Section for Kramatjati Sub-District, Kusumawati told that her side deployed a backhoe to clean the trash. As for the joint officers deployed, are 55 personnel consisting of Infrastructures and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers, freelancers of East Jakarta Cleanliness and Water Management Sub-Departments.

"The trash transported was about 15 cubic-meters or equal with 3 tons. Then it is disposed to Bantar Gebang Landfill," she disclosed.
